Letter to the Transportation Minister

We need better safety on our roads

In late 2017 Mr. Wayne Drysdale MLA for the Grande Prairie Wapiti riding, introduced Bill 215 the Tow Truck Safety Act which would allow tow truck operators to put blue and white beacons on their towing units. This increases everyone’s safety as it makes tow truck’s more visible and also helps differentiate them from the many other amber lights on the roadways. It died and further action has yet to be taken on it.

As Albertan’s and tow truck operators we deserve and need this higher level of safety. This is quite easily completed by Mr. Brian Mason, Alberta’s Transportation Minister through regulation of the Highway Traffic Act. Please take a moment to write to Mr. Mason to voice your support for this change. You can click HERE and an email will automatically generate for you to send.
